1) Read Luke 14, The parable of the great banquet.
This man wanted his friends to come to his house as he wanted to give a banquet but all his friends refused as they each had something to do. The host was angry, yeah. He then asked his servant to BRING in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame. The same servant told his master that there was still some more room in the house. So the host ordered him to keep BRINGING them in till his house was full. Those whom he invited were not allowed in.
So what is this all about?
Just as the master remembered and counted the poor, the crippled and the rest, Jesus is stating that every single human in this world counts as we are all priceless. We count people as people count! We don't just invite people, we BRING people to God's Salvation. We cannot be let down even if that person just keeps ignoring you over your invitations to your Church. Believe in God that your loved ones, your friends, even enemies and strangers (Eg. Foreign people living in our midst)! We are the fishermen who CATCH fish, the former doesn't invite fish, do they? We are the salt of the Earth, we BRING flavour. Farmers don't wait for the harvest, they SOW the seeds. Every time you go to Church, pray for those "crippled" and the "blind" who pass by the Church or are brought to Church that they will be confronted by God. It's like them walking in a fog. Pray that these people who are being rejected, hurt, lost...etc. will have some kind of feeling they never could describe, yet feel overwhelmed. Of course if you ever bring your friend over to Church, anything can happen, don't bother asking how they are feeling as they can't describe anyway. God's presence will fill them, overflowing them. Amen?
Firstly, do you really and deeply love your Church? If not, we would be like zombies and look scary and boring...Which prebeliever will want to go to a Church like that? So SMILE! LAUGH WHOLEHEARTEDLY! NEVER BE GROUCHY or anything else silly, I don't know.
Why should we BRING and not only to invite?
See here, if you only invite these people, you are leaving them the responsibility of bringing themselves to Church to meet up with you. The devil wouldn't want that, would he? He keeps them busy with their lives and there will always be distractions around them. Remember the master's friends? They have no FAITH, don't know that the devil even exists (even so, the wrong impression of the devil). So it's better that we MAKE SURE THAT WE BRING THEM. It's better for us to be attacked by the devil as we have God on our side. We have the FAITH, the LOVE of God and his Kingdom. We have the authority over the devil! Pray that the lost sheep will be touched by God and know what they've been missing in their entire lives, even as we are worshipping God, even before the Preacher starts. Pray before you go in the Church!
PUSH ON! GO GET YOUR LOST SHEEP! Well, they don't know what exactly is the meaning of "Church" and we don't know what their past hurts and feelings are so it can be uncomfortable. But they are like the walking dead and the blind, they can't go to your Church alone, they need a deliverer, YOU! They 've been blinded by their pasts and are crippled in their hearts and minds! It takes effort and time for us, not them! We must not want to leave them the work and responsibility.
2) Luke 10, The Parable of the good Samaritan.
The Samaritan took responsibility to take care and valued the wounded man. He BROUGHT him to an inn and even paid for the bills. People don't like going to places which they don't feel safe in so make your Church very WARM. Be sincere! There are people out there who want to be restored, rebuilt and rid of their hurts whether in the past and in the present. Show them that they are of VALUE! How can we tell them that God Values them if we don't show Value to them? INVEST in their lives! Yeah, give them lunches (the Chinese like to do that) and gifts, encourage them! This is not bribing. We are BRINGERS not inviters (if there's ever such a word).
HAVE CARE AND COMPASSION! And GOD BLESS ALWAYS!

The "Preacher" 's back!
It has been more than 3 months since I last posted something. Seems like I was busy doing other things and being addicted to things like Facebook. had projects and tests. With all those as my reasons, I've been so guilty. Every time I listened to a gospel, I always felt so tempted to write them down here. I ended up doing other things, wasn't very focused, was I? I'm not a good Blogger at all, I don't really know how to write good sentences and all that. However, I hope to start, slowly though. I'm not going to write much about my life nor other's. Nothing offensive nor disturbing I hope. And yes, I'm terribly lazy even though the gospel's good. Starting soon...

What a miracle!
Last Sunday a pastor by the name of Jude Fouquier visited my church sharing a gospel about having a prayer of Faith in God. He went on telling of the experiences and miracles he had especially after he prayed to God every time a problem arose. My ears and my heart really began to open up absorbing what he said. In James 5:13-20, we can derive from the passage that the prayer of Faith is God's language. It's getting us into God's mind. God will listen to us when we pray. He is willing to answer our prayers. In Mark 1:40-41, it is known that prayers work! There is a power in prayers that will open the minds of people. We should not doubt when praying and instead know that everything is possible for him who believes as it is said in Mark 9:21-23. Lastly, in Mark 11:22-24, Jesus said that we must have Faith in God! Whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.Whatever that is in our way will go away as God delivers us out of the devil. Remember that's the reason why we pray! Believe in God! I wanted to share this online as I fell sick on Monday, the next day that pastor preached. Well I have a weakness for Oyster omelette... Juicy oysters which are about to burst with the starchy egg omelette together with this really special and good chili sauce...and I ate it on that very Sunday. On Monday, I had a sudden feeling I was going to have some kind of stomach flu or food poisoning so I quickly visited the doctor. I was the last patient, thank God the doctor was still in, they were about to close. Got an injection too. And so I got food poisoning, the oysters were the culprit, guess they were not fresh. My dad ate them too but his response was later; last night he had a really bad stomachache. I vomited a number of times, even vomiting out the bitter medicine...and had diarrhoea in the middle of the night over so many times. I could even hear the grumble in my stomach. I prayed, thanking God that it was n't worse than I expected, I got food poisonings and stomach flu the last few years and they were worse off. I thought of the preach and went to believe that God will heal me by the next day. I gradually felt much better, and in all the years, I never got so much better so fast! And so now I'm healed! Praise the Lord! Right! And now I'm pretty busy with some things that I promised some of my friends to do for them and I mustn't go back on my word. Bon voyage to some of my friends who are going on a trip and have already gone for their trips! Do be careful and have a Blessed Christmas! Guess I will only be going to Geneva next year!

The Life of Pi
Right now I'm reading The Life of Pi. What if all the religions on Earth are actually loving the same God? Some religions think that there are many Gods, just like God of rain, God of the crops and some religions just love God in a different way. So are we actually loving the same God but in different ways and that some could have gotten the wrong ideas way back then? It's just like there is a Mother who died giving birth to triplets. The triplets grow up and no one tells them what happened to their Mother and what type of person she is. So it's up to them to decide what happened to their Mother. They do know that they have a Mother and they have proof as of what type of person she is but then it's still up to them to believe what's right. So again, the world has only one God as I clearly don't believe in many Gods. If there's a God, he should be able to do every single thing, he is the God of everything. In some religions, there are many Gods that can only do some things, have one or two powers and all that. But being a God, he should be able to do everything, not just a God of rain or whatever only. He is the God of rain, crops, and so on. Only one religion is correct though.

Grounded but always free
Somehow when I was grounded last Thursday till today, being refrained from the Internet, I wasn't that frustrated at all. With my mom's help, I finished all my school homework and learnt some precious lessons: To plan and think ahead of your future. Expect the unexpected. Other than doing work, I watched 3 different Japanese animae on DVD and other stuff, Korean drama too...you got it. I got so much into completing my work yesterday till I didn't know I missed the last episode of a Korean drama. Anyway, a few days back I wore my choir silver shoes and went out with my dad to Holland village, seriously knew I was going to get blisters but I wanted to suffer a bit. Bought some really good beads from there. On Monday, my parents, brother and myself went to the Cathay. Whoa, I nearly regretted eating at Billy Bomers as I gained 2 kg. Next, we watched Enchanted, kind of silly my parents said. They were unsure of the beginning at first. Yesterday, I went out with my mom and my brother to shop at the Wheelock Place. Borders, Mark and Spencer's, Art Friend and this Japanese Bookshop(too lazy to write the proper name). There were some buskers along the MRT station and my brother gave $10. To tell you the truth, no matter how cold my brother is to me, I know and always expected him to be unexpected to my mom. Bought some Christmas letter writing stuff. Friends will know in time to come. Got to know 2 other Korean flicks! Come to think of it, the best looking Asians will be Koreans then. Lovely days ahead of me! Thank GOD for all he has done!

- John Ruskin
"It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities."
- J. K. Rowling
"Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow."
- Ronald E. Osborn
"Yesterday is not ours to recover, but tomorrow is ours to win or to lose."

- Napoleon
"Always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you."
- Arnold Palmer
"Only those who dare to fail greatly can ever achieve greatly."

And that's about it! There's plenty more of course...God Bless!

The Kite Runner
The Kite Runner is a good book and I just want to put this review here for those who want to read the book but do not have enough time to read and most probably lost interest in it.You can search Wikipedia of course but this is different. For those who are reading the book and not wanting to have their imagination spoiled by me, then back off although it doesn't really tell much anyway.
The Kite Runner
Amir, an Afghan boy has a life full of heart wrenching yet beautiful moments in his life. In this novel, he yearns to have the everlasting love of Baba, his father. He does try to please his father and to make his father proud of him. However, Amir does not have a heart of courage and defending himself, thus always letting his father down into thinking that he will hardly make it to be a real man in his life. Amir loves to read and compose stories but is not sporty like his father who happens not to like books. Rahim Khan, a friend of Baba, understands Amir’s plight and problems. He thus encourages Amir to follow his way and dreams.
Hassan, Amir’s servant, is a Hazara, a race discriminated by other races in Afghanistan. Most Hazaras are servants and slaves badly treated by their masters. Hassan is somewhat the opposite of Amir, always standing up for himself and Amir, also having a thick skin when people make fun of him. There are times when Amir gets jealous as Baba seems to treat Hassan like his son when he’s only a servant. Complications arise after Amir witnessed Hassan being cruelly raped by Assef, a strong supporter of Hitler when Hassan was fetching Amir’s kite after the latter won the kite competition. After the kite competition, Baba readily accepts Amir as his good son which is what Amir wanted always. Deep in Amir’s heart, there lives guilt about the incident he had. He knew he was foolish, selfish and lacked courage into helping Hassan. Amir began plotting to get away from Hassan, knowing that he was guilty. He finally manages to get rid of Hassan although he regretted later on.
War comes; Amir and his father escape to America. Adapting to America was tough to them; they were n’t living with comfort and had to start from scratch to feed themselves. Days passed by and Amir graduated, got a job and a wife and Baba died peacefully along the way. Many years later, he had a call from a dying Rahim Khan and went back to Afghanistan to his hometown, Kabul to visit him to catch up with the times. But he never knew a great secret would be unraveled to him…
Amir has to find Hassan’s son, Sohrab, to give him a good life; away from the terror and miseries under the new government, the Taliban. With determination and perseverance in himself, Amir seeks help along the way and touches many people’s hearts, finding Sorab in Assef’s hands. He fights with Assef and saves Sohrab from slavery and cruelty into freedom. There were hardships and misunderstandings to getting Sohrab to be accepted into America. They finally settled down as one big family. Amir has finally become a true man able to redeem himself of the mistakes he had commited.
The Kite Runner is about love between the relationship of a father and son, trust and betrayal in a friendship, the means of being loyal to each other and determination to redeem of one’s soul when in the wrong.
