The Life of Pi

Right now I'm reading The Life of Pi. What if all the religions on Earth are actually loving the same God? Some religions think that there are many Gods, just like God of rain, God of the crops and some religions just love God in a different way. So are we actually loving the same God but in different ways and that some could have gotten the wrong ideas way back then? It's just like there is a Mother who died giving birth to triplets. The triplets grow up and no one tells them what happened to their Mother and what type of person she is. So it's up to them to decide what happened to their Mother. They do know that they have a Mother and they have proof as of what type of person she is but then it's still up to them to believe what's right. So again, the world has only one God as I clearly don't believe in many Gods. If there's a God, he should be able to do every single thing, he is the God of everything. In some religions, there are many Gods that can only do some things, have one or two powers and all that. But being a God, he should be able to do everything, not just a God of rain or whatever only. He is the God of rain, crops, and so on. Only one religion is correct though.
