The Church- The Instrument of God's Purpose

"And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to be put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment-to bring all things in heaven and on earth under Christ. In him we were also chosen, having been predestined according to the plan of him who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of his will,"

Ephesians 1: 9-11

"And God placed all things under his feet and appointed him to be head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills everything in every way."
Ephesians 1: 22-23

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."
Romans 8: 28

"The LORD Almighty has sworn,

'Surely, as I have planned, so it will be,
and as I have purposed, so it will happen." Isaiah 14: 24

"This is the plan determined for the whole world; this is the hand stretched out over all nations. For the LORD Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?" Isaiah 14: 26-27

God's purpose is the same always! For everyone regardless of their status or religion.

"From the east I summon a bird of prey; from a far-off land, a man to fulfill my purpose. What I have said, that I will bring about; what I have planned, that I will do." Isaiah 46: 11

First, you got to know the meaning of PURPOSE which is:

Result. Aim. Goal. The end.

There are 3 things we need to get right:)

1. Know Him for yourself.

We need God to reveal Himself. He wants you to know Him. You can't know Him by your own way. You need Him. You can't go to God unless He draws you. Make God your habit and He will break your bad habits! You know what Facebook is? It is putting your face in somebody's book. But putting your face in the Word is seeing God's face and speaking to Him. We are what we worship. So worship someone like God who is all giving and powerful. We were created to worship God. We are not born to be other things (to be a teacher, a president, a murderer, or ever a missionary). We are just gifted to do whatever we are good at. So, don't make your gift your purpose! Because if you lose your gift, you would have lost your "purpose" in life. That's why our purpose is to worship God! So do not make your career, your family, your fav music bands as your purpose (to worship). Live and die for the glory of Jesus Christ. We are in Church because we want to! One can be able to fulfill and provide for his family and have everything accomplished in life but not able to know, to enjoy and to glorify God.

2. To be like God.

We are right only because of God, Jesus. We can't be righteous on our own. But when God expresses Himself in you, there will be glory to glory for you.

3. You reign with God, to work with and for God, with and by God.

You can't change the world if you are being changed by the world.

We are created to worship! We are meant to worship and magnify God. Live and __________ and you die. What will be the words written on your tombstone? Would it be "Live and was a great basketball player and died..." or would it be "Live and was a friend of God and died..."?

We can live without many things but we cannot live without God. Who do we worship? Money? Education? God?

"Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." Revelation 2: 7

Some of us would not like to hear this but life is not about who we are but about God. We are dirt! God made us out of dirt to worship. So don't make ourselves more than we are above God.

GOD BLESS!

Hillsong United- Devotion

Verse 1
I've been running, trying to be one who sees
I've been working salvation out on my knees
There is nothing better than knowing
that we are redeemed
I'm believing, trusting in creative hands,
I am praying for our world to bow to your plan
And this one thought is unmistakable:
I take up my cross and follow you Lord

Chorus
When you stand the tall trees and mountains bow
When you speak the fiercest of oceans is still
And I see the
sinner seek devotion
The
lost become chosen, and I fall to my knees

Verse 2
I'm forgiven; my Savior who did not deserve death
He was blameless and I was lost in shamefulness
I'm delivered, but it doesn't seem right
unless I keep my eyes focused on the savior who gave his life
In the middle of a world that denies it believes
It is breaking apart at the very seams
There is one thing to be alive for
And it's to take up my cross and follow you Lord

Bridge
I will take up my cross and follow Lord where you lead me
And I will take up my cross and follow wherever you go

Foundations

Foundations is what you build upon and is extremely important. It is something you need to count on. So the question is, what are we counting on? Our looks? Talents? Family's virtues and morals? The society's new findings? Or are we counting on God?

Just to let ya know, we need to build our lives on something SOLID. On SOLID ROCK!

In life, many things don't stay constant, times can be uncertain. But there's one thing that is certain; God's Word is the only thing you can count on 100% He doesn't change. He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. He will back up the Word based on His character.

No matter how good we all try to be on our own, there's always something that draws us away from God. But remember! He loves you. He goes all the way to send His son, Jesus, to die for everyone, you and I. He's ready to receive us. But are we ready to receive Him? He came because we need a saviour to deliver us from our sins. The whole reason why He came is to save us, not to condemn us.

A day will come when our foundations will be tested. Put your faith and trust in not what you can do, but what God can do for you! Have our foundations grow deep in God's Word as how a tree grows its roots deep and wide in search of water in a dry land. ^^
GOD BLESS!

What time is it? It is time for God!

SO HELLO THERE AGAIN (to whoever is reading my blog)!

Just something about me that explains why I've not been writing here:
I'm studying for my O level this year and I've been rather caught up with many things like studies and recently, a Korean boy band called SHINee. Well, more like I'm being caught up with the Korean wave, the Korean Tsunami wave to be exact... at least to me.

Yeah, I know, I know, if I focus too much on all these things, I seriously do not have the time FOR GOD. If you are like me, pray to God that you will:

  1. Know why it is important to want to stand firm in God in all that you do in your life.
  2. Have the desire to want to be on a higher level with God (know God deeper) and to stand firmer in God.
  3. Be able to do other things (eg. job assignments), which are important too, faster so that you can have time for God. Or that you will have time for other important things even after you spend time with God (which is better).
  4. Be focused on God's word and not to be distracted by other things.
  5. Listen out for God and fully understand His word.
  6. Apply and tell or show others about God's word in all that you do.

Be like a submarine that is submerged in the ocean. It is surrounded by water but not filled with water.

Well, these are some prayer points I've thought of. If you know of any mistakes or more prayer points, please do not hesitate to tell me! I sincerely pray that all those who read this post will be BLESSED Greatly by the LORD! I also pray that whatever I write here is of the Lord. GOD BLESS YA ALL!!
